-> This is a relisted auction, the former high bidder did not pay and is blocked now. Here you have the chance to bid on a very interesting vintage instrument:

Have a look at this fine vintage 6-stringed archtop jazz guitar model SOLIST made in Erlangen/Germany by Arnold Hoyer around 1955:

Fullsize archtop body with venetian cutaway, fine solid carved spruce top, nicely figured solid maple sides and back, natural blonde finish. Multilayer celluloid bindings around the edges.

Note the old style ARNOLD HOYER logo at the headstock / top and the unique patented Hoyer roller bridge !

The overall length is 42.5" (108cm), Scale 24.8" (63cm),

neck width 42 mm at the nut and 52 mm at the 12th fret.

The body is 16.35" (41.5cm) wide, 20.25" (51.5cm) long and 3.35" (8.5cm) deep.

Slim D-shaped maple neck with adjustable trusrod. Ebony fretboard with 21 frets plus zero fret and celluloid fret markers. Special designed ebony bridge with thumbwheel heigth adjustment and separate metal rollers for each string to compensate the scale length. Heavy nickeled brass tailpiece.

Excellent balanced resonant tone with fine harmonics and good sustain for rhythm accord as well as for solo play, perfect for swing and jazz.

Straight neck with comfortable low action: app.3mm at the 12th fret.

Good condition considering the age of over 60 years. The tuners were replaced recently, some small holes from a pickguard have been closed. The body already shows the typical fine crackles of an old original finish. Several dings and dongs, typical scratches in the finish and other traces of a long musicians life are definitely present- she sounds excellent and has therefore been played a lot - see pictures for details.

The guitar is strung up with new Argentine 1610MF silver steel strings.

A nice and rare instrument for players as well as for collectors
