1940s Vintage Monterey Harmony Archtop sixs new strings Guitar ready to play
All original 1980 Joe Pass model JP 20 Ibanez. This is a wonderfully crafted jazz guitar with a smaller body size & depth. Everything functions & works perfectly, playing sweetly & buzz free with quite low action. The guitar has been well played in its' 30 years & has some scuffs & dings, as well as some binding decay, as was common among these guitars. Nothing that affects the integrity & playability of the guitar, but it takes from the category of colllectable to that of a player. We didn't get pictures of the back, which is the best part cosmetically & surprisingly free of scuffs & buckle rash. also not pictured but included is the original case in good working condition. Some fret & fingerboard wear, but does not need a refret & can get by with a fret dress before a refret should be considered, many years from now.
Those in the know are aware that these Japanese made archtops from this era represent the best being made from that period. George Benson, himself still plays MIJ Ibanez signature model guitars.
